Understanding the service

What is paint correction?

Paint correction is the process of carefully refining the vehicle's painted surface to reduce the appearance of imperfections and improve clarity, gloss and overall appearance.

Common imperfections include swirl marks, light scratches, paint haze, oxidation, water spotting, surface imperfections, dull or tired-looking paint, and loss of gloss.

The amount of correction possible depends on the condition, thickness and history of the paint. Complete removal of every scratch or defect cannot be promised.

Why paint correction

When your paint has lost its edge.

Vehicle paint can lose its appearance over time through washing, environmental exposure, improper care, oxidation and normal use. Correction is a measured way to refine that surface and recover visible clarity.

Frequently asked

Paint correction questions.

What is paint correction?

Paint correction is the careful refinement of a vehicle's painted surface to reduce visible imperfections and improve clarity, depth, gloss and overall appearance.

How is paint correction different from a regular detail?

A regular detail focuses primarily on cleaning and presentation. Paint correction uses controlled machine polishing to refine the painted surface itself.

Will paint correction remove scratches?

It can reduce or remove some light scratches within the clear coat. The result depends on the depth of the scratch and the condition of the paint.

Can deep scratches be corrected?

Deep scratches may not be safely removable through correction. Damage that passes through the clear coat may require touch-up or refinishing.

How long does paint correction take?

Timing depends on the vehicle's size, paint condition and the level of correction agreed upon. A time estimate is provided after evaluation.

Does every vehicle need the same level of correction?

No. Every finish is evaluated individually, and the approach is selected around its condition, thickness, history and desired result.

Should I ceramic coat after paint correction?

Ceramic coating can help protect and maintain a freshly corrected finish. It is optional and can be discussed as part of your project.

Can you evaluate my vehicle from photos?

Photos are a helpful starting point. An in-person inspection may still be needed to assess defect depth, paint condition and the appropriate approach.
