Custom means custom

Your idea, evaluated properly.

Custom painting starts with your idea. Bring JC PaintWRKX a unique concept, an individual component or a finish you haven't seen offered anywhere else, and the project will be evaluated on its own merits.

Material, condition, preparation requirements and the intended use of the part all shape what's possible. Nothing is promised before the project is evaluated — but everything reasonable is considered.

Project examples

The kinds of projects we evaluate.

These are example categories of custom work — an outline of what's possible, not a claim that specific projects have already been completed.

01

Color change

A component or panel refinished in a different color than its current finish.

02

Custom component

An individual part painted to suit the vehicle or the owner's vision.

03

Painted trim

Exterior or interior trim pieces refinished for a cleaner, more intentional look.

04

Color-matched part

A component finished to complement the vehicle's existing color.

05

Restoration

A worn or aged component brought back with careful preparation and refinishing.

06

One-off project

An idea that doesn't fit a standard category — evaluated individually.

The process

How a custom project works.

  1. 01

    Tell us your idea

Describe what you want painted and the look you're going for.

  2. 02

    Send photos

Clear photos of the component or vehicle help us understand the starting point.

  3. 03

    Discuss materials & components

We talk through the part, its material, condition and how it will be used.

  4. 04

    Evaluate the project

The project is reviewed to determine whether and how it can be handled.

  5. 05

    Determine preparation & finish

Surface preparation, color and finish are planned around the component.

  6. 06

    Complete the work

The agreed preparation, painting and finishing work is carried out.

  7. 07

    Final inspection

The finished piece is reviewed under appropriate lighting before it leaves.

Frequently asked

Custom painting questions.

Can you paint parts I provide?

In many cases, yes. Customer-supplied parts are evaluated for material, condition and suitability before any work is agreed to.

Can you paint plastic?

Many automotive plastics can be painted with the correct preparation and products. The specific component needs to be evaluated first.

Can you paint metal?

Yes — metal components can typically be prepared and refinished. Condition, corrosion and previous coatings affect the approach.

Can you match an existing vehicle color?

Color matching is part of what we do. The factory paint code is a helpful starting point, though age, exposure and previous repairs can affect the vehicle's current appearance. A perfect match is not guaranteed.

Can you paint custom components?

Custom and one-off components can be evaluated individually. Send photos and a description of what you're trying to accomplish.

Can you paint something not listed on the website?

Possibly. The lists on this page are examples, not limits. If it can be painted, send us the details and we'll evaluate the project.

How do I get a quote?

Use the quote form to describe the project and attach photos. Include the vehicle year, make and model when relevant, plus any color or finish references you have.
